Murrk Ngubitj Yarram Yaluk: project update

11 July 2024

Friends of Murrk Ngubitj Yarram Yaluk

On Wednesday 3 July, the ‘Friends of’ Murrk Ngubitj Yarram Yaluk volunteer group celebrated their first birthday.

The group came together to reflect on their dedicated efforts and hard work that have significantly impacted the land over the past year.

The ‘Friends of’ group includes local community members and meets on the first Wednesday of each month to assist with bush regeneration activities. If you would like to be involved, please register your interest.

Progress and construction update

We are continuing our planning for the new walking track, carpark and site entry, which is due to start later this year. We are currently in the final stages of the planning approval process and the Cultural Heritage approvals process. Once these are approved, we can start the construction work for the carpark and the walking paths.

We hope to have the site open to the broader public from late 2024.
