As part of connecting the new brine pipeline into the existing sewerage network, we are installing a pressure sustaining valve (PSV), near the existing Barwon Water pump station in Beacon Point Reserve, at the intersection of Edgewater Drive and Beacon Point Road, as shown in the map below from March to June 2026.

As part of this work, we’ll establish a temporary area for site amenities, material storage and vehicles opposite the Barwon Water pump station.

Work will take place Monday to Friday, between 7 am and 6 pm. If Saturday work is required, this will take place between 7 am and 3 pm.

As part of this work, please note:

• We’ll install temporary fencing around the work area to ensure public safety during construction.
• Access to private properties and the walking trail will be maintained at all times.
• There may be increased noise and dust. We’ll aim to minimise impacts to local residents.
• We’ll install an acoustic enclosure to minimise ongoing noise from the PSV.
• There’ll be some changes to traffic conditions including reduced speed limits. Traffic management will be present on site to ensure the safe and efficient movement of pedestrians and vehicles.
• For one week (Monday to Friday) we’ll need to install a temporary sewerage pipeline known as a bypass. To support this work, there’ll be a road closure impacting access to the Beacon Point carpark and pumps running for 24-hours. We’ll notify you closer to the time to confirm the dates and details.
• We’ll reinstate the area upon completion of works.

There’ll be no interruptions to your water and sewerage services as part of these works.
