Lorne community information sessions

29 August 2025

We're planning for Lorne’s long-term water future - and we’d love your input.

We've been working together with the Lorne community to explore practical ways to save and find water, ensuring the town has a secure, sustainable and resilient water supply into the future. Part of our program has been the creation of a Community Working Group (CWG), which has been providing community input and perspectives throughout the Lorne: Water, Your Say program.

While Lorne’s current water supply is secure, we know that climate change, population growth and increased seasonal pressures mean we need to plan ahead. That’s why we’ve been working with the community and key stakeholders to develop a number of alternative ways to meet the long-term water supply needs of the town. This includes a range of options to promote smarter water use and finding more water to increase supply.

We’re now inviting you to provide feedback on which options you’d like to see recommended to Barwon Water’s Board.
