The Lorne: Water, Your Say Community Working Group is currently assessing a range of future water augmentation options for the town.

We established a Community Working Group in late 2023 to help identify and assess options to plan for a sustainable and resilient water future for Lorne.

Together, we recently short-listed a range of options for further consideration based on economic, environmental and social criteria.

The short-list includes a combination of options to promote smarter water use and finding more water to increase supply. This includes a potential mix of initiatives that aim to save more water around homes, use smarter water management tools and technologies, and find more water sources.

We’ll be testing options with the Lorne Community Working Group and the wider Lorne community before any decision is made. In September to early October, we will be reaching out to the broader community for feedback on these proposed options.
