Barwon Water is upgrading the existing Melbourne-Geelong pipeline (MGP) to help safeguard year-round water supply to customers under dry conditions. The upgrade will ensure Barwon Water continues to provide high quality, affordable and secure services for our customers.

On Tuesday 13 May between 3 am and 8 am, works will take place near Hams Road and Banrock Court in Waurn Ponds. This will enable us to connect to a larger pipeline into Pettavel Basin for future storage.

As part of these night works, please note:

• During these works, you may notice increased noise. We will aim to minimise impacts of this and apologise for the disruption.
• To ensure our crew’s safety, handheld torches will be in operation. As a result, you may see some increased lighting around your street and property.
• Access to private property for local residents, businesses, and emergency services will be maintained at all times.
• There will be no interruptions to water or sewerage services as part of these works.
