Customer Advisory Committee meets

The Customer Advisory Committee met again on 2 August to do their annual review of Barwon Water‘s performance during the 2018 Price Submission (2018-2023), including progress on the capital works (infrastructure delivery) program, share information and insights from their communities and networks and discuss other projects and programs.

The Committee helps Barwon Water to understand issues and possible solutions from the perspective of community members and customers; gain access to valuable local community knowledge and receive feedback on our service and performance.

During the August meeting, the Committee assessed and discussed Barwon Water’s performance for the 2022-23 year against its five customer outcomes as outlined in the 2018 Price Submission. During the meeting, the majority of Committee members shared they were "very comfortable" or "comfortable" with Barwon Water’s performance against each customer outcome:

  1. A reliable, secure water future for our region
  2. Timely, innovative services for our customers
  3. A healthier environment for all
  4. Deeper knowledge and partnerships with our community
  5. Affordability for all our customers

The Committee suggested that Barwon Water clearly communicate information included in the 2018 Price Submission Annual Performance Scorecard to customers to help explain the performance results and where Barwon Water is going to focus their efforts into the future.

The Committee will next meet in October.
