This month, Barwon Water’s Customer Advisory Committee and Environmental Advisory Committee came together at Murran First Nations Hub for Cultural Awareness Training.

This was an opportunity for members to gain a deeper understanding of First Nations’ Culture and the importance of Country as a sense of belonging, identity and connection. Members also learnt about Barwon Water’s work with Wadawurrung and Eastern Maar and the significant Victorian Government strategy Water is Life which establishes a framework to increase Traditional Owner roles in and resources for water management.
