About the project
We're extending our recycled water supply network from Mount Duneed through to Deakin University in Waurn Ponds, where Class A recycled water will be used to maintain the sporting fields.
We're committed to achieving zero waste by 2030, and this project will help us better utilise recycled water and save precious drinking water supplies.
This partnership project with Deakin will see Barwon Water deliver 100 ML per year of recycled water to the campus as part of the university’s integrated water management plan (IWMP).
