Construction works on the Wurdee Boluc Inlet channel

2 December 2024

Barwon Water will be conducting repair works on the Wurdee Boluc Inlet channel crossing commencing in January 2025. We will be demolishing and replacing three water channel crossings. These channel crossings allow vehicles and pedestrians to cross over the water channel while maintaining flows from the West-Barwon Reservoir into the Barwon Water regions drinking water systems.

Work is scheduled for mid-January 2025 to mid-May 2025 and will take place between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. If Saturday work is required, this will be between 7.00 am and 1.00 pm. Please refer to the map below for the location of these works.

As part of this work, please note:

  • Callahans Lane will be closed with detours in place. All traffic will need to detour via Birregurra-Forrest Road. Please obey road signs as required.
  • There may be increased noise and dust. We will aim to minimise impacts to local residents and businesses.
  • Access to driveways and private property will be maintained unless you are notified otherwise.
  • We will reinstate the area upon completion of works, ensuring it is left in good condition.
  • There will be no interruptions to your water and sewerage services as part of these works.

We apologise for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we get these essential works done.
