Barwon Water is upgrading sewer maintenance holes around various locations in Geelong as part of our ongoing asset renewal program. These essential works will help improve sewerage services to properties and reduce risks of leaks and odour in the area.

The location of the works:

1. East Geelong (footpath & nature strip impacts)
2. South Geelong (nature strip, car parking & business impacts)
3. Breakwater (nature strip impacts)
4. Newtown (in scrub land)

The works are scheduled to occur between July 2025 and August 2025 between 7:00 am – 5:30 pm weekdays, weather permitting.

As part of this work, please note:

• There may be increased noise and dust. We will aim to minimise impacts to local residents and businesses. Steam may be visible during the works.
• You may notice odour. This is not harmful to people or pets.
• Access to driveways and private property will be maintained.
• We will reinstate the area upon completion of works, ensuring it is left in good condition.
• There will be no interruptions to your water and sewerage services as part of these works.
