Bannockburn Network Upgrade - survey works

17 March 2025

Barwon Water is planning water and sewer network upgrades in Bannockburn to boost system capacity. The upgrades will include the installation of new water and sewer infrastructure, which will ensure Barwon Water can continue to provide high quality and reliable services to our customers.

As part of planning for these works, we will be conducting site investigations in various locations around Bannockburn between April 2025 and December 2025, including cultural heritage and flora and fauna assessments, service proving, geotechnical and land surveys.

In September 2025 we have placed a number of roofing tiles in various locations to undertake fauna surveys. It is important that these tiles remain in place to give us the most accurate results possible.

We are working with Golden Plains Shire to ensure that any maintenance to the areas can occur without interference from our surveying.

We thank you for your cooperation.

As part of these investigations, please note:

  • There may be some temporary changes to traffic conditions, including speed reduction zones and temporary lane closures along Burnside Road, Charlton Road, Douglas Court, Moore Street and Milton Street.
  • During geotechnical investigations, there may be increased noise and dust. We will aim to minimise impacts to local residents.
  • There’ll be no interruptions to water or sewerage services as part of the investigations.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we get these essential investigations done.
