Reimaging the Barham exhibition

14 May 2026

We’re excited to feature our Building a Resilient Barham project at Southern Otway Landcare Network’s Reimagining the Barham exhibition at the Apollo Bay Mechanics Hall.

Supported by 25 organisations and community groups, Reimagining the Barham draws together people who are inspired by the river and invested in its future. With over 80 exhibits – including documentary film, musical composition, ceramics, textiles, drawing, photography, sculpture and mixed media installations – the exhibition has something for everyone.

Bringing the Barham River to centre stage, the exhibition highlights the river’s central role in the Apollo Bay community and the local region.

Our Installation and artwork

Barwon Water responded to an invitation to contribute to the exhibition, by creating something that shared our knowledge of the river and our relationship to it as a source of drinking water.

Accordingly, we created two pieces, including an infographic poster that creatively provides information on the values, threats and projects we are undertaking that have a connection to the river.

The second piece is an installation that creatively shows the seasonal fluctuation in the river’s water flows coupled with a representation of the people who rely on the river across those seasons.
