Since the works commencing in August 2022, the following works have been undertaken and are advancing:

• The designs have been completed.
• The construction of the new earthen lagoon is progressing.
• New concrete structures and storage tank has commenced.
• Including for safety reasons, a number of trees have been removed on site to allow for new works. Vegetation and landscaping activities will be undertaken across the site after construction is complete.

Works completion to be expected by the end of December 2023, with commissioning works occurring in early 2024.

Please note that due to a number of complex concrete pours some works are expected to start at 5am for 1-3 days during March and mid-April.

Apart from three possible days of early starts, construction activities will continue to occur during standard working hours Monday to Friday, between 7am and 5pm; and if required Saturday between 7am and 1pm.

As part of these works, please note:

• Local residents and businesses may see an increased number of trucks on route to the site in March 2023. Truck deliveries are expected to cease by the end of March.
• Majority of the works will take place with the reclamation plant site at 1-33 Treatment Works Road, East Colac, however some work will be undertaken in the road reserve near the plant and within the neighbouring property Australian Lamb (Colac).
• Construction works will be completed in stages, with major earth works scheduled to be completed by mid-2023 and remaining works by the end of 2023.
• Please be mindful of construction vehicles entering and exiting the Barwon Water site on Treatment Works Road. At times, an increased number of trucks may be present on the surrounding roads.
• Access to surrounding private properties will be maintained.
• There may be increased noise and dust from trucks and construction. We apologise for the inconvenient and will do our best to minimise this.
• There may be some vibration noise from these works. We anticipate minimal disruption to nearby residents.
• There are no planned interruptions to your water or wastewater services resulting from these works.
