Community open house held

The Forrest wastewater community open house was held last night.

Attended by local residents and business owners, the open house provided the community with an update on the wastewater investigation project, next steps and an opportunity to speak with Barwon Water on the project.

There were lots of great conversations had, with key themes focusing on what people value about the community, current wastewater systems and affordable and innovative wastewater options.

Barwon Water is currently collating feedback from the open house and the recent online survey. These findings will be discussed in further detail at the upcoming community visioning workshop on Tuesday, December 12.

The workshop will see community members collaborate with one another to better understand the problems and impacts surrounding Forrest's existing wastewater system and how a successful project could contribute to the community in the future. The details of the workshop are:
